Do you live in a noisy or a quiet area?

It's a bit of both, really.

During the day, the road outside is full of motorbikes.

But I'm on the sixth floor, so it's kind of quiet inside.

The only thing is, some nights the karaoke from a restaurant down the street can drown out my TV.

To be fair, I can't complain, because I love karaoke myself.

Do you like the area that you live in?

Oh, I love it.

The beach is only five minutes away by motorbike, so I can go for a swim before work.

Plus, everything I need is on my doorstep, from the market to my favourite coffee shop.

The only downside is that my rent keeps creeping up, which is kind of annoying.

Where do you like to go in that area?

Well, mostly a little football pitch near my flat.

A few colleagues and I play there every week, and we really work up a sweat.

Afterwards, we usually grab a bite at a seafood stall nearby, and to be honest, that's the best part.

What changes have there been in the area recently?

A lot, actually.

When I first moved here, it was mostly small houses and empty plots.

Now new apartment blocks have sprung up everywhere, and there's a big shopping centre too.

It's handy having all that nearby.

But the traffic has got much worse, so it's a bit of a mixed blessing, I'd say.

Do you know any of your neighbours?

A few.

There's an elderly couple next door who always say hello.

The thing is, I'm pretty forgetful.

Once I went out without locking up, and the husband kept an eye on my flat until I got back.

I returned the favour by sorting out his phone.

So yeah, we get along fine.
