Câu hỏi và câu trả lời mẫu

Do you like the morning or evening?

Evening, I'd say.

Most of the year, the days here are pretty hot.

Once the sun goes down, though, the heat eases off and there's a lovely breeze from the sea.

Actually, I'm usually too drained after work to do much, but I like having a few hours to myself.

What do you usually do in the evening?

Nothing very exciting, honestly.

I get home around six, have dinner, and then give my parents a quick ring.

I mean, my mum still checks I'm eating properly.

After that, I read a few pages of a history book and usually turn in before ten.

What did you do in the evening when you were little? Why?

Well, I was usually out in the lane until it got dark, mostly because that's where all my friends were.

We kicked a shuttlecock around or played marbles, and we'd lose track of time completely.

Then somebody's mum would shout from a doorway.

You know, I don't remember being bored once.

Do you spend your evenings doing the same things on both weekends and weekdays? Why?

Not really.

On weekdays it's mostly quiet nights in, because I've got work the next morning.

At weekends, though, I'm usually back in Hue, and after dinner I meet up with an old classmate who's moved back.

We sit at a sweet soup stall and chat for ages.

So yeah, that's basically my social life.

What do you hate doing in the evening?

Replying to work messages, easily.

The thing is, our team chat keeps pinging after hours with one quick thing to check, and it's never quick.

Usually a colleague just wants a second pair of eyes on a bug.

I mean, I could mute it, but then I'd lie awake wondering what the problem was.
