Are you good at telling jokes?

Not really, no.

I'm more of a storyteller than a joke teller.

They copy the way I say certain words, you know, and then pretend they can't understand me.

Honestly, I don't mind, and I always get my own back sooner or later.

Do you like to watch comedies?

Yes, sitcoms especially.

The episodes are short, which means I can squeeze one in before bed.

The dialogue's fast, too, so it kind of doubles as English practice.

Oh, and I still remember getting a joke without subtitles for the first time.

I was ridiculously proud of myself.

Have you ever watched a live show?

Yes, a stand-up comedy night at a little bar last year.

Of course, the only free seat was right in the front row, so I had a bad feeling about it.

And sure enough, the comedian picked on me first.

Mind you, he had the whole room in stitches, and I laughed the loudest.
