Câu hỏi và câu trả lời mẫu
Have you ever lost anything?
Oh, all the time.
I'm quite scatterbrained, so I'm forever leaving things behind in cafes, mostly umbrellas and phone chargers.
Luckily, they usually turn up again, because the staff put them aside for me.
Mind you, I've lost at least four pairs of sunglasses for good.
Have you ever lost your keys?
Yes, once, and it was a real pain in the neck.
I got home after football and realised my keys had fallen out of my pocket, so I was locked out.
I mean, I had to wait forty minutes for my landlord, still in my sweaty kit.
Anyway, now the lady in the shop downstairs keeps a spare for me.
Would you post on social media if you lost something?
Well, yes, if it was something important, like my ID card or my motorbike papers.
I'd put the word out in a local Facebook group, with a photo and my number.
That said, my friends would see the post and tease me for weeks, so I'd only do it as a last resort.
What would you do if you found something that someone else had lost?
Well, I'd go out of my way to track down the owner.
Actually, that happened last year.
I found a wallet on the beach after my morning swim, with a business card inside.
So I rang the number, and the owner came to pick it up that afternoon.
He even insisted on buying me a coffee.
Would you report it to the police if you found something valuable? Why, or why not?
Yes, if it was a large amount of cash, I'd hand it in.
The thing is, cash doesn't have a name on it, so anyone could claim it was theirs.
The police can actually check who really lost it.
Plus, I'd rather play it safe, so nobody could accuse me of keeping any of it.
