Câu hỏi và câu trả lời mẫu

Do you like science?

Yes, but strictly as a spectator.

Actually, I'd be hopeless in a lab.

I'm all fingers and thumbs, so I'd probably smash half the glassware in ten minutes.

I just like knowing how everyday things work, you know, like why ice floats.

When did you start to learn about science?

Primary school, I'd say.

Our teacher had us grow bean sprouts on wet cotton wool in a jar.

We rushed to check them every morning, at least until the novelty wore off.

Mine were the tallest in the class, so I was kind of smug for a week.

It's probably the first science lesson I can still remember.

Which science subject is interesting to you?

Weather, I guess, if that counts.

Storm season is a big deal in central Vietnam.

Whenever a typhoon's on its way, I hang on the forecaster's every word.

If it changes course towards Da Nang, we might be told to stay indoors for a day.

Honestly, it amazes me that they can predict its path days in advance.

Do you like watching science TV programmes?

Not on TV, no.

These days it's mostly short videos on my phone.

Basically, each one explains a single idea in a nutshell, like how planes stay up.

Long documentaries tend to lose me halfway through.

Then again, if one's really good, I'll happily watch it to the end.

Do people in your country often visit science museums?

Not that often, from what I can tell.

Science museums are few and far between here.

At the weekend, most families would rather take the kids to the beach or a shopping centre.

Personally, I've never actually been to one.
