Have you ever learnt about outer space and stars?

Yes, a bit.

At secondary school, our geography teacher walked us through the solar system, and I couldn't believe how huge Jupiter is.

I mean, that one lesson sparked my interest in space, so I borrowed a few books from the library.

Mind you, I've forgotten most of it since.

Do you like science fiction movies? Why?

Yeah, I do.

I rewatch Interstellar every year or so, because the black hole scenes look incredible.

Actually, a real physicist helped work out how they should look.

That said, I'm a nightmare to watch films with.

Spotting plot holes is an occupational hazard for a software tester.

Do you want to know more about outer space?

Oh, definitely, but I never seem to find the time.

I follow a couple of space pages online, mostly for the telescope photos, which are stunning.

The thing is, I need the science explained in layman's terms, or I'm completely lost after the first sentence.

Do you want to go into outer space in the future?

Not a chance.

I find bugs for a living, so I know how many slip through the net.

I wouldn't trust the code on a rocket.

Then again, I'd happily look down at the whole planet from a window if it were completely safe.

I guess I'd just let someone else go first.
