Câu hỏi và câu trả lời mẫu
Do you wear a watch?
Yes, every day.
It's just a no-frills black digital one, but checking it is second nature to me now.
I mean, I've worn a watch since my first year at university, so my wrist feels kind of naked without it.
Have you ever got a watch as a gift?
Yes, from my dad.
He handed his old mechanical watch down to me when I graduated.
It's a bit scratched and runs a few minutes slow, but I don't mind at all.
Actually, I only wear it to weddings and at Tet, and funnily enough, it gets more compliments than anything else I own.
Why do some people wear expensive watches?
Partly as a status symbol, I reckon.
My manager wears a really pricey one whenever he meets clients, and it does help him look the part.
Then again, some people treat a good watch as an investment, since certain models appreciate in value.
To be fair, I can see the appeal of something beautifully made.
Do you think it is important to wear a watch? Why?
Strictly speaking, no, since every phone shows the time.
Having said that, checking your phone in a meeting is a bit frowned upon at my company.
A quick glance at your wrist is much more discreet.
I mean, nobody thinks you're secretly texting.
